It will also boot on a kickstart 2 machine ie an A500 with Kickstart 2.04 or an A500 plus. Comes with original power supply which is in full working order but is slightly yellow in colour due to age, but this is common for something that is over 30 years old. Physically there is a hole at the very front bottom left corner of the case (as can be seen in the photos) but this is merely cosmetic, could very easily be fixed with some tape over it and does not affect the operation of the unit. To be honest once the unit is connected you cannot really notice it as the hole is at the very bottom part of the unit.
To confirm, I have had this unit running for days without any problems whatsoever. There are no moving parts inside the unit, so in all fairness there is very little to go wrong with it. I still have the receipt for it.
I have since bought an ACA500 Plus card which is why the A590 is now up for sale, otherwise I would be keeping it. I cannot understand why on earth anyone would now want to use a hard drive. It is so much easier. And cheaper to use SDcards. No heat, no noise and quicker speeds than the old SCSI drives.
Also open the case up and change the card for another one and have a backup drive if needed. All very easy to do. I no longer have the original packaging however this is not a problem as I will pack this inside plenty of thick bubble wrap and i will then pack everything inside a strong box. In the condition it was sent in.
