Up for grabs is this exceptionally good deal. You are looking at the top of the ESi range sampler in the 4000 model. It therefore comes equipped with the following as standard. 16-bit Sampling at 22.05 Khz and 44.1 Khz (via analog inputs).
4 MB standard, expandable to 128 MB with 72 pin SIMMS. (This one has 32 MB memory).
64 digital 6-pole filters (19 different types). The Turbo option that this unit has installed offers the following. Dual Stereo Effects Processors: Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Flange, Distortion and Vibrato, Doppler, Aphex Aural Exciter.
32 Khz, 44.1 Khz, and 48 Khz sampling via S/PDIF option, (18-bit A/D). This is a great sounding sampler that has many followers. Some describe its filters as sounding very analogue, and they do sound good on many of the synth type sounds loaded on the included SCSI hard drive.
The OS on this unit has been upgraded to the latest version, so is running Version 3.02. It is in very good condition, with everything working as it should.
The screen backlight is very bright, which is rare on these, as they are of an age where such features are either dead or faded to almost nothing. The LCD is all fully readable with no missing or dead areas.
This also has a pair of original E-mu rack ears included, which some don't include! There are some marks and scrapes from its life being swapped in and out of rack units, but these are purely wear and tear to be expected on a unit this age. The included hard drive is an old Seagate ST410800 drive, with, I think! 8 GB of storage space. It comes loaded with a couple of hundred MB of pro samples taken from CDs, and includes samples of pro synths such as the Roland JP8000, Access Virus, many of the E-mu Proteus range like the O.
Riginal 1, 2, and 3, Orbit, Phatt, Vintage, Classics such as the Odyssey, Prophet, Moog, ARP, Jupiter, Juno, Korg MS and loads of other samples of generic synth sounds, drums pianos etc. Basically a great collection that makes this an awesome multi-timbral tool that could create whole tracks on its own. Also included are a set of 8 original. Floppy disks, that are 2 disk sets of piano, orchestral, drums, and general sounds. These disks work, as does the built-in floppy drive. Included with the sampler and hard drive are 2 power cables, an appropriate SCSI cable, and a SCSI terminator.
These SCSI parts sell for more than I expected on their own! There is no manual, but this can be found online. So, just to summarise: this is the sale of a great condition, fully functional E-mu ESi4000 digital sampler with the Turbo option installed, the OS version 3.02, original rack ears, Seagate SCSI hard drive, 8 E-mu floppy disks.
So you can see, with the extras, this is quite a deal! Without this simple procedure being followed it will be difficult to make a claim.
